Crossfit

CrossFit is a training method where weightlifting, athletics and gymnastics come together. Functional, high intensity workouts with a large variety of exercises is what CrossFit stands for.
Our classes consist of a warm-up, technical practice so you can learn to perform the movements correctly and a WOD (Workout Of the Day) that can last anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes. To add a competition element the results of the WOD will be displayed on a whiteboard!

Youth & Kids

Not yet 18 years old? Don’t worry, then also you can sport at Vondelgym. For kids till 12 years old there is Vondelgym’s Speelkwartier (play quarter). For youth between 12 and 18 years old, there is Vondelgym Rookies.

Heavy-bag workout

What’s in a name? For short we call it “The Bags”. Here you’ll find kickboxing and boxing lessons. Classes are done in groups but every participant will have his/her own heavy bag. A very popular class due to the combination of endurance and punch and kick technique.

Running

At the Vondelgym you can attend running classes on a daily basis. With trainers Klaas, Roos, Jermain, Niels, and D’Angelo you’ll increase your endurance, speed and strength. They will be more than happy to help you reach your running goals.

Fitness

Old-school strength training. Iron; dumbbells, barbells, benches, squat-racks, the list goes on! Little explanation is needed. In contrast to our other disciplines, few group classes are offered. However, you can individually workout from 7.00-23.00 every single day.

Bootcamp

Group Classes outside at the park! Bootcamp workouts are a constant rotation of fitness and cardio exercises (interval-training). This means that within a short time you will push your body to the limit. By doing this outside your training stimulus will be higher than training inside.

Yoga

Keeping your mobility, strength, and flexibility are essential if you want to keep training properly. We offer mobility classes that work on hip, back shoulder and hamstring (among others) flexibility on a daily basis. Besides that we also offer yoga classes, at the Overtoom during the weekend at the Wibautstraat on a daily basis.

VondelFysio

VondelFysio is a no-nonsense physiotherapy practice, specialized in sport en manual therapy for people with an active lifestyle. Vondelfysio is number 1 when it comes to quick diagnosis and custom made treatment.
Our intended audience is people with an active lifestyle, in and outside of the Vondelgym. We have a lot of experience with work-related injuries and postoperative rehabilitation. We are housed within the Vondelgym and work together with the trainers.
